Sustainable Development Goals for inclusive education
“Working with educational institutions and other stakeholders to eliminate inequality”
Guiding our approach is the UN Convention on Disability, which is all about making full use of talents and equal opportunities. We carry this mission in our services and also apply it to our own organization and in cooperation with our partners in the educational field. We actively contribute to diversity and inclusion by enthusing educational institutions to sign theUN Convention Declaration ofIntent and providing an action perspective for implementation. The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) align seamlessly with this.
Sustainable Development Goals
The SDGs are 17 goals to make the world a better place by 2030. They are a global compass for challenges such as poverty, education and the climate crisis. These goals apply in all countries and to all people. Schoolchildren, students and teachers can also use tips and tools to do this themselves.
Our view
Health care for all

Health and (mental) well-being is conditional for ECIO when it comes to learning and personal development. For students, the educational institution is an important living environment. Therefore, as far as we are concerned, education has an important task and key role in promoting student (mental) health.
Inclusive, equal and quality education for all

For ECIO, quality of education means a learning environment in which talent development is central. For the world of tomorrow, we believe it is important that everyone’s potential be utilized. As far as we are concerned, the responsibility of education does not stop at the diploma, but aftercare is part of educational quality.
Reduce inequality within and between countries for the proper functioning of society

Reducing inequality and being part of the social infrastructure touches on ECIO’s mission: “Everyone can belong and belongs.” We take diversity and inclusion as the norm in education, using the UN Convention as a basis. Together with educational institutions and other stakeholders, we want to eliminate inequality. ECIO actively contributes to diversity and inclusion by enthusing educational institutions to sign the UN Convention and by providing an action perspective for implementation.
Sustainable future
In pursuit of this SDG, ECIO/CINOP contributes to a more inclusive, equitable and healthy society. By connecting healthcare, education and equity, we are working toward a more sustainable future where all individuals have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our public values are:
- Equivalency
- Welfare
- Social justice
