Project | Creating Inclusive Career Guidance in VET
“Inclusive career counseling is the key to equal opportunity.”
This Erasmus+ project, as part of the KA20 Collaborative Partnerships in VET, focuses on promoting inclusive career guidance within vocational education and training (VET) through international cooperation. The aim is to support the employment of students with disabilities by providing them with appropriate career guidance during their education and beyond.
Objectives and expected results
This three-year project, which runs from September 2025 to September 2028, provides secondary schools with the knowledge and tools needed to provide inclusive career guidance. The focus is on connecting career guidance during training with a smooth transition to the job market after graduation. The project will also lead to the development of a toolkit, together with students and MBO professionals, that supports inclusive career guidance for students with disabilities.
Consortium
The project is led by ECIO (CINOP) and funded by the European Union. It involves an international partnership between the following organizations:
ECIO (CINOP) | Expertise Center for Inclusive Education (Netherlands)
VOCO | Tartu Rakenduslik Kolledž (Estonia)
FIRDA| Foundation for Vocational Education, Adult Education, and General Secondary Education (The Netherlands)
VLC | Göteborgs Stad Vägledningscentrum (Zweden)
SDO | Suomen Diakoniaopisto SDO OY (Finland)
Research and development for inclusive career counseling
The project begins with research on the current state of inclusive career guidance. Interviews with students and professionals will help identify best practices, gaps and connections to the labor market in partner countries. Based on these insights, the project will develop a comprehensive toolkit for inclusive career guidance. All project results, including the toolkit and research findings, will be shared via this webpage and the partner organizations’ websites.
