With the ECIO Inclusion AWARD Election 2026 we are looking for innovative solutions that contribute to the implementation of the UN convention in hbo/wo and the transition to the labor market.

Using 8 inclusion elements as a compass, we translate the UN Convention into practice. From education to labor market, your idea can make a difference within one or more of these key themes:
- Innovation in Education System (policy, governance, quality assurance).
- Learning Environment & Culture (physical and digital accessibility, social safety).
- Inclusive Program & Testing (flexible learning pathways, inclusive testing).
- Support offerings (guidance, facilities, communication).
- Equipping Professionals (training, welfare, professionalization).
- Transition to and from Education (transfer, internships, labor market).
- Collaboration (regional, national, multidisciplinary).
- Monitoring & Data Use (data analysis, quality assurance).
Who can participate?
Whether you are an experiential student or a professional working in or for the college/university – your input is vital! We are focusing on colleges and universities because we receive funding for this, but aim to offer opportunities for MBOs to participate as well once we can obtain the necessary funding.
Students’ experiences are invaluable. Therefore, we also encourage students to submit their ideas and best practices. Their unique perspective can inspire others and help further promote inclusion in education and employment.
