AD(H)D is an attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity. Global characteristics of ADHD are:

  • hyperactivity and impulsiveness
  • and/or problems with attention.

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is a subtype of the better-known disorder ADHD. Officially, it is called attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, predominantly inattention type. In ADD, attention deficit is at the forefront (Brain Foundation).


Every student, including every student with AD(H)D, is different. Preferences in learning style, intelligence, upbringing, age, character et cetera influence whether or not the characteristics below are expressed in someone with AD(H)D. The information card helps you in guiding students with AD (H) D.
