This is the amount you have to spend to make your idea into a success at your educational institute.
Get the spotlight you deserve
As a student+, you know best how education could be optimised for you and other students+. You may already have a good idea to make the education institution more inclusive for all its students. Perhaps you have already started an initiative that benefits students+, or you have inspired your teachers to become more inclusive within your university. The aim of this contest is to put you in the spotlight you deserve, and hopefully stimulate inclusion of student+ in other universities as well.
The winners of the contest ECIO Frank Award 2020
The winners of 2020 were Beau Geraeds (Utrecht University of Applied Sciences) and Tess Tegelberg (Delft University of technology).
Participate: nominate yourself or someone else!
Are you or do you know a student+ who started a special initiative or inspired fellow students? Someone who stands for inclusive education and has ideas about how education at his/her/them institution can be even more inclusive? Then join the contest and nominate yourself or someone else.
With student+, we mean students who study with a disability and/or with special needs. A functional disability that interferes with study progress. For example, a physical or sensory disability (such as hearing problems or a chronic disease (e.g. diabetes). But also, for example, dyslexia, autism and psychological problems. In addition, students who may need extra support due to young parenthood, treatment for gender transition and special family circumstances, such as informal family care. Other special needs include students who suffer from performance pressure, financial problems and social isolation.
After the deadline, two finalists per educational sector will be selected based on their idea or initiative (November). Then, a professional video of the four finalists will be recorded by us (November/December). With this video the finalists have to convince the jury why they have to win the award and how they want to stimulate inclusive education at their institution. The jury will choose a winner per education sector who will receive the award, together with the cash prize. The date and location of the award ceremony will be communicated at a later date.
The deadline for submitting nomination is 1st of November 2021. Please read the rules and conditions carefully before submitting. Use the application form when you want to register yourself. When you want to nominate someone else, please use the nomination form. Share this message or use the invitation and get involved! Together we can make education even more inclusive.
